LAMIA HOUSE

Lamia House was established January 9 2022 to help our trans-identified sisters and brothers who are without housing. This is a program to help you get on your feet and transition to be a better person. It allows community members to get a second chance in society, we know that times can be hard and we are here to help you in any way we can! Feel free to reach out to us at any time!

A significant number of you have been inquiring about the housing program at STRC. Over the past couple of years, we have provided housing for homeless individuals and those in emergency shelters through our three-month program. We recognize that trans individuals face stigma and discrimination in society, which often denies them opportunities. As such, I have established a safe space, commencing this new year, to provide trans individuals with their own accommodations. This house features rooms designed for individual occupancy, ensuring privacy and independence. Residents can live at their own pace, with the freedom to work and return to a secure environment. Room rates range from $500 to $650, with access to communal spaces, including a kitchen, dining room and bathroom. This initiative caters to those who have been rejected by rental properties or require support to live independently. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at your convenience. We currently have rooms available and continue to offer emergency shelter.

God bless you all and thank you,
